Paid for Family Vacation

Ahhhhh. The smell of the fresh salty air and the sounds of the waves crashing onto the beach. There's nothing like a family vacation at the beach, especially if you live in the Midwest. Well, actually there is one thing better and that is a "paid for" family vacation at the beach. Now when I say "paid for" I'm not talking about the kind where you take your spouse to a two hour time share presentation and in return they give you Disney tickets and two nights at a resort, although that's not a bad idea if you have time to waste and can say "NO" a hundred times. I'm talking about the kind of "paid for" family vacation that you actually budget for, save for throughout the year, and pay cash for.

My family and I just got back from a great trip to North Redington Beach, FL. We stayed at a beautiful two bedroom beach front condo where the white powdery sand was just steps away from our door. It's located near the Tampa Bay area just down the beach from Clearwater. In addition to relaxing at the beach everyday, we also made a couple trips to Sea World and Busch Gardens to quench our families appetite for roller coasters. We had a great time and it was all budgeted for and paid for in CASH!

We have been paying cash for our vacations for about the last five years now and I can't express to you enough how wonderful it feels to not have to pay those credit card bills that keep coming months after the fun is over. In a way it does feel like a free vacation.

I want to encourage you to research where you want to go, budget and save for it every month, and pay cash(debit). Make sure you plan for gas, food, lodging, and entertainment. I promise you that you won't regret it.
